The Control Wheel for the Dehavilland Beaver are becoming scarce in the industry.  Most of these types of aircraft fly over ocean water causing corrosion to occur.  While the original control wheel was built out of Magnesium, at Sky Workhorse, we are going to improve the material by manufacturing it out of Aluminum due to its stronger material properties and durability in salt environments.  We are looking at introducing new technology such as Additive Manufacturing or 3D Printing to easily reproduce this product to keep the industry striving as this aircraft will never die.

To produce parts for the aviation industry, you will need approval from the local regulators.  the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and Transport Canada (TCCA) will need to approve your parts and granting a certification called a Production Manufacturing Authority (PMA).  Sky Workhorse LLC is currently in process to obtaining PMA certification.  Go to our PMA page to find out more about the requirements for certification.
